A busy week in the world of veggies: we have the first Bell peppers in this week, from Walmerstone Growers in Kent, to welcome this first week of the astronomical summer - reds and yellows to begin. And for something fractionally sweeter, we have some Red Romano Peppers too.
And we are now in high lettuce season!
On the crunchy side, - Cos Lettuce, Big & Small, as well as the smaller pairs of Little Red Gem Lettuce. And on the softer side, we have some wonderful flowery Oak leaf lettuces from Gill Wing Farm this week - we bag them up as soon as they arrive and they will feed you for a week....!
The Oak leaf lettuces will be in the non-organic boxes this week.
Also, this will be the last of the asparagus this week....
