Fish this week: line caught fine, net caught tough!
Last week's full moon coincided pretty closely with the equinox full moon (21st March), which exerts a stronger than usual gravitational pull on the earth. The result? The spring tide was particularly strong and high, and in these conditions net fishing is tough.
But line fishing is fine, and so we will have plenty of mackerel being landed this week, as well as pollock taken from nets in coves, close to Kernow's base near Helston.
